I have 20 nieces and nephews. I’ve been around babies all my life and having that special blanket is key. As a little girl, I never really had any stuffed animals. My version was a security blanket that my Grandma (we called her Nanny) made for me. What I loved about it was how soft and silky it felt. I carried it around with me until I was too old to mention. In fact, I still have it today. I’d be embarrassed to show you. It looks like something you wouldn’t even want to wash your car with. I got to thinking. How special and fun for me to give a little boy or girl their own security blanket that they’d want to carry wherever they went. There are many reasons why I love JennyBenny and why I think it stands apart from the rest. I like to use 100% cotton flannel on one side and very luxurious velvet that feels like fur on the other. It’s called “seal velvet” because it really does feel like silky fur. As you begin to wash it, the seal velvet starts to turn into vintage-looking crushed velvet. I love how each blanket has a personality of its own. I’ve seen beautiful high-end blankets that require dry cleaning. Now how practical is that? JB is created for daily, thorough use... just as a mom would need to at that age. Your baby burps up, make a little mess, has a little accident, not to worry. Just throw it in the washer and dryer. You’re good to go! JennyBenny Blankets are homemade, not factory built. I’ve perfected the design by taking extra steps in securing the durability of each blanket. I pre-wash most flannel to avoid shrinking and sew an extra ½ inch scalloped top stitch around the entire perimeter of the blanket. In matching the thread to the velvet, it not only enhances the beauty of the flannel but it doesn’t interfere with the look of the velvet. May a JennyBenny bring much joy to your child’s life. Thank you for your visit. With warm regards, |
